Joining a fleet of 220 trailers, 43 tractor units and seven rigids, the new tippers will be used to collect animal by-products from abattoirs around the UK to be processed into pet foods or used for incineration in the energy sector.

“We work closely with Fruehauf to ensure the tippers are built to the right specification to meet the needs of our business, which includes being easily cleaned, something that makes our daily operation more safe, hygienic and efficient.”
The bathtubs are specified with BPW axles and suspension, with 420 x 180 drum brakes as well as reinforced water-tight and air-operated tailgates; five of the trailers are fitted with drainage taps at the front and rear.

GH By Products, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary, employs around 70 staff at its sites in Lincoln, Derby, Chesterfield and York.
