To mark the milestone of the 250,000th DAF MultiSupport Repair & Maintenance service contract, DAF Trucks marked the occasion with a "huge" signing. The landmark of a quarter-millionth contract was recently agreed by Scandinavian-German company Baton Transport, who signed up on a new XG to be used on European routes. With nearly 400 trucks, 800 employees, and regular service all across Europe, Baton Transport wants to ensure that its fleet is efficient, comfortable, and secure with the best service possible.
CEO at Baton Transport Claus Hansen was noted as saying: “When purchasing trucks, our most important criteria are functionality, driver comfort, safety and total cost of ownership. DAF MultiSupport gives us a clear picture of the overall costs. This means that the trucks will be well-maintained in the long term and guarantee maximum uptime, while minimising workshop invoices. MultiSupport has four service-level packages available that amount to a fixed price per kilometre (Km) that helps maximise vehicle uptime. At Baton Transport, DAF MultiSupport Full Care contracts are now the standard for it's DAF fleet of more than 90 vehicles, including both New Generation DAF XF, XG and XG⁺ trucks which were recently awarded the International Truck of the Year 2022.
