Tevva Trucks partners up with Ecobat to recycle its electric truck batteries

The strategic partnership kicks off with a 12-month pilot for handling and repairing Tevva's batteries.

Electric truck manufacturer Tevva announces an exciting partnership with Ecobat, the world leader in battery recycling. This twelve-month pilot is set to benefit Tevva’s customers, the environment, and their electric fleets. The pilot will cover the efficient, effective, and environmentally friendly repair, repurposing, and recycling of Tevva’s electric truck lithium-ion batteries. With the aim of reducing labour costs and minimising waste, both companies are committed to a comprehensive ‘circular economy’.

Tevva CEO Asher Bennett reinforces this focus on customer service and corporate responsibility: “With our strategic partnership with Ecobat, customers can be sure we are prepared for battery end of life, and maintain best-in-class care for their vehicles.”

Tevva manufactures electric trucks suitable for urban routes and last-mile delivery. Its 7.5-tonne battery vehicle has a range of 140 miles on a single charge and its hydrogen-electric truck features a range extender of up to 354 miles with a single tank of hydrogen.

Together, Ecobat and Tevva are determined to give customers the most reliable truck solution with the best environmental credentials. This strategic partnership is designed to ensure Tevva fleets are best prepared for Lithium-ion battery end-of-life.
