Volta Trucks Confirms Orders of Over 300 Electric Trucks

2 March 20232 min read

As environmental concerns, as well as safety regulations, continue to gain traction, Volta Trucks have made an impressive start to 2023 with an order bank in excess of £75 million GBP [85 million Euro]. Announcing their first 300 manufacturing slots for their fully-electric 16,000kg GVW Volta Zero, this milestone marks an exciting opportunity for those looking to transition their fleets to a greener and safer alternative. With delivery trucks set to start rolling off the line in early Q2, it's clear that the demand for this revolutionary truck is strong.

The Volta Zero has been designed from the ground up to be a full-electric, 16-tonne urban delivery vehicle, and is estimated to save around 1.9 million tonnes of CO2 by 2026. Additionally, thanks to the removal of the internal combustion engine, drivers of the Volta Zero can benefit from a lower seat height and an improved view with a glass house-style cab design providing wide 220-degree visibility.

Looking to take it one step further, the Volta Trucks 'Truck as a Service' proposition is set to revolutionize the financing and servicing of commercial fleets. It promises a single, affordable monthly fee that covers the cost of an electric Volta Zero, charging infrastructure, servicing, maintenance, insurance, and training, maximizing fleet efficiency. With a clear vision and dedication to quality, Volta Trucks is cementing its position as the leader of the growing electric truck revolution.
