Job Description
We are currently seeking to recruit an Apprentice Customer Service & Parts Trainer to join our team on the Mercedes-Benz retailer apprenticeship program. The Apprenticeship Program is responsible for the development of hundreds of apprentices across the Mercedes-Benz Car, Van, and Truck retail networks in the UK. - Salary: Up to £32k depending on experience
- Location: Mercedes-Benz Academy, Milton Keynes, MK15 8BA
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
- Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days + national holidays

About this Role
Working as a part of a larger team, and reporting into the Lead Trainer, the Customer Service & Parts Trainer (Apprenticeships) will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality learning programmes, ensuring that apprentices remain on track to achieve their respective qualifications and for maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.

Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, engaging and effective Apprentice training to Mercedes-Benz training delivery standards
- Typically delivering for 34-36 weeks per annum, including virtual classroom (online) delivery
- Maintain quality, standardisation and processes in line with Mercedes-Benz requirement
- Prepare the learning environment and resources (including setting up classroom, activities, and assessments)
- Track, measure and monitor learner progression, working with the wider team (including Regional Development Coaches) to provide stretch, and additional support as required
- Assist with development of new training material as required
- Develop and embed functional skills across all training delivery
- Produce off the job training reports for employers and RDCs
- Ensure that personal development is maintained and attend relevant updates sessions as instructed, and required by the role
- Use all resources in an approved, safe and efficient manner
- Work to timely and overall EPA completion targets with your apprentice case load
- Promote a positive culture and promote the Mercedes-Benz brand in everything that you do
- Ensure all of the training adheres to Health and Safety standards, Safeguarding and Prevent
- Act as an ambassador for the Mercedes-Benz Apprenticeship Programme, proactively demonstrating good practice and the brand values
- Observe all Mercedes-Benz policies and procedures, as well as Ofsted and ESFA requirements
- All other administrative, delivery, and assessment activities as required by Mercedes-Benz
Qualifications & Experience
- Automotive retail Aftersales and/or Parts experience (Essential)
- Teaching qualification/experience eg. PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, TAP, Cert Ed or NVQ equivalent qualification (Highly Desirable, training can be provided)
- Mercedes-Benz retailer experience (Highly Desirable)
- Full Driving License (Desirable)
- Relevant Health & Safety Qualification (Desirable)
- First Aid at Work Qualification (Desirable)
- Safeguarding, Prevent and Equality & Diversity training (Desirable)
- Strong awareness of new automotive technologies and innovation, including electric vehicles (EV qualification, Desirable)
- Competent/experienced in using MS software packages (Essential)
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written) (Essential)

- Up to £32,000 (dependent on experience)

Place of Work
Mercedes-Benz Apprentice Academy, Milton Keynes, MK15 8BA. On the rare occasion, there will also be times when it may be necessary to work from alternative locations such as (but not limited to) Calex offices, alternative Mercedes facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role.
Pre-employment Checks
Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated references, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). This nature if this role will necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
