A great achievement for the Professional Recovery Operators Federation (PROF) with the ‘Campaign for Safer Roadside Rescue and Recovery’
Professional Recovery Operators Federation (PROF) plays an important role in informing us all about the Red Lights Campaign.
Richard Goddard, president of PROF, started The Campaign for Safer Roadside Rescue and Recovery back in 2018 which he spoke about at the 2019 NTDA Tyre Industry conference in Telford.
Campaign was aimed to highlight the importance of better protection for the recovery sector operators attending breakdowns, with the aim to introduce the ‘Red Lights’. Red lights, rather than amber lights, allow for earlier detection and the drivers are warned to slow down.
Pete Murphy, managing director at Isuzu Truck UK said, “The Professional Recovery Operators Federation provides an excellent platform for communication and the ‘Red Lights’ win is an absolutely fantastic achievement. Hopefully more Recovery Operator personnel, working in potentially very dangerous environments whilst providing a vital service, will be much safer in the future as a result and huge congratulations to Richard at PROF and everyone else involved.”
Richard Goddard, director at PROF said: “Red Lights is a massive victory for the recovery industry and roadside safety and will save lives. We are grateful for the support of our sponsor Isuzu Truck UK which helps PROF to function as effectively as we do.”
