The market-leader repeated last year’s performance, picking up ‘Best Rigid Truck: more than 12-tonnes’ for the new XD range, ‘Best Rigid Truck: up to 12-tonnes’ for its LF range, and followed by the top award for DAF Trucks in the ‘Fleet Manufacturer of the Year: Truck’ category.

The Fleet News Awards comments:

Best Rigid Truck: up to 12 tonnes (DAF LF): The LF, which late last year was updated and rebadged as the XB, is an excellent truck with a proven drivetrain. It is the default choice for many operators with a comfortable cab, great dealer network and is highly manoeuvrable – it’s clearly the best-in-class.

Best Rigid Truck: more than 12 tonne (DAF XD): A modern truck with good tech and visibility which offers an excellent driving environment. The XD has powertrains for all uses with its diesel and electric variants while DAF has put safety at the forefront.

Fleet Manufacturer of the Year: Truck: DAF secures its second consecutive win in this reader-voted title thanks to its range of outstanding multi-award-winning trucks. With the support of its excellent dealer network, DAF once again proves it has the best products and service offering for fleet and transport managers.”
