Hiab launches the new HIAB iQ.708 HIPRO 60-70 tm range loader crane
Hiab, part of Cargotec, launches HIAB iQ.708 HIPRO, a heavy loader crane from the next generation HIAB cranes.
This new loader crane is a perfect example of the modular approach behind Hiab’s design philosophy, by scaling the V12-Power boom profile to a crane in the 60 to 70tm range category to make the iQ.708 HIPRO an all-rounder unit for its segment. The HIAB iQ.708 HIPRO has a maximum vertical reach of 40 metres and with a JIB of 15 tm, it can deliver materials with an “up and over” of 26 metres. “The design philosophy behind the structure of the crane is to deliver a balance between performance and overall installation flexibility, enabling customers to benefit from more payload on a wide assortment of truck installations, which are key elements for the users in this segment” says Stefano Brusa, Director, Global Product Management Heavy & Superheavy Loader Cranes, Hiab.
With a focus to assist operators during complex operations, Hiab is also introducing the Syncronised Distance Control (SDC) function with the iQ.708 HIPRO. This feature allows it to automatically keep the load at a set distance from the crane’s tip while only having to operate the extension movements from the remote. This reduces the need to operate multiple levers at the same time while increasing safety. It is very useful when handling loads that are farther and higher away from the operator, where visibility becomes the main obstacle to a safe movement. The Load Stability System for vertical movements (LSS-V) compensates for unintentionally excessive lever movement in vertical operations, while the Variable Stability Logic PLUS (VSL+) feature optimises lifting capacity by monitoring the position and pressure of the stabiliser legs actively using the available load on the truck. All the above features are complemented by the CD4 remote control, which provides operators with three large displays visible in all light conditions, haptic feedback for alerts and crane reactions, and battery with personalised operator crane settings. Ordering of the new unit will begin in Q4 of 2024.
To maximise the lifecycle of HIAB loader cranes, Hiab offers HiPerform smart solutions that enhance performance and productivity.
