VIR by JP introduces 40 units of the 100% electric eDaily, IVECO's light commercial vehicle, to its delivery fleet. They will enable the transport company to address the challenge of low-emission zones in city centres where it operates and support its customers’ sustainability efforts.
VIR by JP, subsidiary of the Jacky Perrenot Group, has taken delivery of a fleet of 40 eDaily vehicles. These vehicles are dedicated to home delivery services, primarily operating in the Paris region, with additional coverage in Bordeaux and Salon-de-Provence. Each vehicle will travel for VIR by JP an average of 150 km daily, completing its routes with just a single overnight charge at the depot.
Jacky Perrenot Group invested in this fleet to address the challenges posed by low-emission zones (ZFE) and to support its customers in transitioning to more sustainable transport. These vehicles enable quiet deliveries and drastically reduce emissions. They also allow the transport company to anticipate European regulations, which target zero CO2 emissions from all new cars and commercial vehicles in Europe by 2035.
For its eDaily fleet, VIR by JP has chosen chassis-cab models fitted with a 23 m³ body. The vehicles are powered by a three-battery pack, offering a range of up to 330 km. With an electric motor delivering up to 140 kW (190 hp), and up to 400 Nm of torque, the eDaily is highly responsive and pleasant to drive. Initial feedback from VIR by JP drivers has been very positive, praising the vehicles for their ease of use, comfort, and excellent handling.
The eDaily vehicles chosen by VIR by JP are perfectly suited to their operational needs, particularly in terms of payload capacity. This investment fits within the company’s decarbonisation strategy and integrates an energy mix developed in partnership with IVECO, based on innovative vehicle solutions.
