Magtec Secures Type Approval for its MEV75 Electric Truck
The MEV75 is available for immediate order with chassis available from stock.
Homologation specialist, and vehicle integration engineering manager at Magtec, Louise Atkinson said: “Securing GB Small Series Approval for our MEV75 is a significant milestone for Magtec. It is evidence of our commitment to UK manufacturing and our support for fleet managers as they move to zero-emission vehicles. Watch this space for more Magtec own-brand electric vehicles to follow soon.”
Not only is the MEV75 now eligible for a government plug-in grant, which allows fleet managers to purchase the vehicle at a discounted price, but it also provides a reduced monthly financing option. Specifically designed for operations such as last-mile logistics, waste collection, and refrigerated deliveries, the MEV75 is the ideal choice for businesses operating within low-emission zones.
To ensure the MEV75 met the requirements for type approval, a series of tests and audits were conducted, including examinations of the braking, steering, electromagnetic compatibility, rechargeable energy storage system, and noise controls. Fortunately, the results were all positive, no surprise to those that know Magtec's highly skilled engineering team, which now means that the fully electric MEV75 is available for immediate order with chassis gliders from stock.
