The vehicle will be on display outside Hall 2A, where visitors will also be able to see the truck alongside HyKit's Mobile Hydrogen Refueller, providing a complete demonstration of hydrogen-powered transport and refuelling infrastructure.

Visitors to RTX 2026 will have the opportunity to meet the Metier Repower team, explore the vehicle up-close and discuss the role hydrogen can play in the future of heavy-duty transport.

The truck represents a significant milestone in the transition to sustainable road transport, proving that existing diesel vehicles can be repowered with hydrogen internal combustion engine technology, extending vehicle life, while dramatically reducing carbon emissions, emitting only trace NOx and a providing a Total-Cost-of-Ownership similar to that of diesel powered vehicles.

Metier Repower’s hydrogen repowering solution offers fleet operators an alternative route to decarbonisation, enabling the retention of existing vehicle assets while adopting cleaner fuel technology. By converting existing vehicles rather than replacing them entirely, fleets can reduce costs, minimise waste and accelerate their journey towards net zero operations.

The presence of HyKit's Mobile Hydrogen Refueller alongside the truck will further demonstrate how vehicle technology and supporting infrastructure can work together to enable real-world hydrogen transport applications today.

"The UK's first road-legal hydrogen repowered truck is a major milestone, not only for Metier Repower but for the commercial vehicle sector as a whole. We're delighted to showcase the vehicle at RTX 2026 and demonstrate how hydrogen internal combustion engine technology can provide a practical, accessible route to fleet decarbonisation."
