Our new HAMMAR is the first of it's kind in the UK!

12 February 20262 min read
Featuring two cranes mounted on a single trailer, the sideloader provides a fast and efficient solution for loading, transporting and positioning fully laden containers. Supplied by Swedish manufacturer HAMMAR, the world’s leading producer of sideloaders, the new addition is the top-of-the-line HAMMAR 500 model.

The HAMMAR 500 offers a safe working load of up to 45 tonnes, making it suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty container moves. With the ability to stack containers two high and two rows deep, the unit opens up new possibilities on restricted and challenging sites.  The extendable cranes with a reach of up to six metres along with the high stability support legs allow for precise positioning. Operators can stack two high weighing up to 30 tonnes, or two high and two rows deep weighing up to 17.1 tonnes.

Investing in our third HAMMAR lift — and the most advanced model in the range — shows our long-term commitment to innovation, safety and delivering high-quality, specialist services to our customers.

Andrew Galt, Operations Director said “The new HAMMAR gives us the ability to carry out more advanced container movements and placements. Being able to double-stack containers, as well as lift over to pick up a second container, gives far more options for our customers. Whether it’s heavy lifting or complex container placements, our new Hammar has proven itself to be a highly capable and versatile addition to our fleet.”

The HAMMAR 500 also delivers efficient transfer operations, allowing containers to be moved easily between chassis or rail wagons. Its support legs create a clear ‘tunnel’ over a companion chassis, enabling rapid loading and unloading while allowing trailers to move in and out of the lifting zone without adjustment, saving valuable time on site.
