Petit Forestier Group has deployed nearly 300 IVECO eDaily vehicles across Europe, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable transport
Petit Forestier Group, Europe’s leading provider of refrigerated rental solutions, has added nearly 300 eDaily - the fully electric version of IVECO’s iconic light commercial vehicle – to its fleet.
These low-carbon vehicles are part of the group's ambition to support its customers in the energy transition. Aware of its impact on the environment and committed to a responsible approach, Petit Forestier Group offers solutions that reduce the carbon footprint of fleets while ensuring comfortable and quiet deliveries in low-emission zones, without compromising performance.
A shared commitment to sustainable mobility
“To meet environmental challenges, our goal is to provide our customers with the means to operate lower-emission assets. That's why we actively support them in the decarbonisation of their fleets. The arrival of the eDaily marks an important milestone in the long-standing partnership between Petit Forestier Group and IVECO, with whom we share a deep commitment to sustainable development and the energy transition. Our fleet of electric vehicles enables our customers to reduce their environmental impact integrating seamlessly into urban environments where silence is a value”, said Yann Leriche, Director of Assets & Supply at Petit Forestier Group.
“The eDaily proves that zero-emission mobility can deliver performance, reliability, and versatility — even for demanding refrigeration applications. We are proud to strengthen our partnership with Petit Forestier Group, a company that shares our vision of sustainable innovation and to helping customers in a practical energy transition,” said John Venstra, Head of International Key Accounts, IVECO.
The eDaily: performance and efficiency without compromise
The eDaily is the electric twin of the legendary Daily, retaining its hallmark robustness, reliability, versatility and exceptional payload and towing capacity. The eDaily vehicles selected by Petit Forestier Group offer a real-world range of up to 150 km, even when fully loaded and accounting for the refrigeration energy demand. Perfectly suit for urban deliveries, the eDaily delivers up to 140 kW (190 hp) of power and up to 400 Nm of torque . When additional power is needed, drivers can activate the model's distinctive Hi-Power function for an extra boost. Energy consumption is further optimised through the driving mode selector, allowing drivers to prioritise either maximum power or minimal energy use. The One-Pedal Drive mode further enhances efficiency by converting braking kinetic energy into electricity, thus reducing overall consumption and brake pad wear while simplifying driving.
The ePTO system, which was previewed by Petit Forestier Group, is particularly which is particularly suited to refrigerated vehicles. It can also operate with the electric network to recharge both the vehicle and power refrigeration equipment. This feature, which is unique in the world of electric vehicles, simplifies operations by reducing charging steps and optimises both economic and energy performance.
Customers also benefit from the URBAN refrigerated body developed by Lecapitaine featuring lightweight, eco-friendly insulation and optimised aerodynamics, to maximise eDaily’s energy-savings. Designed for commercial use, a special charging cable supplied by Petit Forestier enables connection to any type of industrial socket, reducing infrastructure costs and ensuring fast charging up to 22 kW.
The combination of the eDaily and the URBAN refrigerated body perfectly meets the needs of the Petit Forestier Group and its customers, supporting them in their transition towards more sustainable transport solutions.
