About this event
This event, hosted by Transport Scotland, marks the one-year anniversary of the launch HGV Decarbonisation Pathway for Scotland and will gather key stakeholders who are interested and involved in driving forward decarbonisation of the heavy-duty vehicle (HDV) sector.
The financing forum will bring together stakeholders to collaborate, share learning and critically identify ways to increase investment in zero emission heavy duty vehicles and infrastructure. The outputs of the forum will provide a picture of what financial mechanisms and practical actions are required to release private investment in the sector, which will be used to develop a detailed business case for future investment.
The agenda:
- An overview of HDV charging demand, routes and opportunities;
- Update on Heriot Watt HGV mapping exercise and group discussion.
- Discussion and identification of opportunities for investment around key routes and locations in Scotland.
- Future investment and collaboration opportunities
- Role of emerging and innovative business models and financing in HDV transition.
- Peer support – collaborative working to develop investable business cases.
- Identification of key next steps for the Scottish Government and the sector to develop an approach for overcoming investment barriers.
