The family friendly North London Transport Museum

Every Tuesday and the last Sunday of the month from 10am to 4pm

The most common phrase used to describe us is ‘a hidden gem’. 

The Museum’s vast and eclectic collection of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and social history ephemera is housed over 4 floors in the main building and in a range of outbuildings including a purpose-built Fire Station, vehicle hall, autojumble shop, workshops and a stationary engine room.

"Turriff Show, is the biggest two-day agricultural show in Scotland, attracting around 24,000 people, including those involved in farming as well as many non-farming people who enjoy the show for its wide array of activities. 300+ exhibitor stands as well as some of the finest food & drink and arts & crafts stands which included producers from within Aberdeenshire and beyond. The show has been held in the north-east town since 1864 and was originally held on a Tuesday to coincide with the Turriff “mart day” Today, the show awards over £85,000 in prize money and 330 trophies. The show’s 1,554 classes range from the best cattle, sheep and horses, through to working dogs, poultry and vintage vehicles."

"Calling all Classic Tractor enthusiasts and Vintage Car Aficionados

Classes for 2023 have been added to the schedule, Entry is £2 per vehicle, when entering please provide a short description/history of the vehicle for our commentator to read out to the crowds during the main ring parades. Enter your tractors now for your chance to take away the A Broadwith memorial Cup awarded to the Best Overall Tractor

Not forgetting our four legged companions,

On display were over 100 trucks including  Vintage,  Custom and Modern - all cleaned and polished to a very high standard - with the aim of impressing the judges and winning one of the prestigious trophies which were kindly sponsored by Bandvulc Tyres, Webber Transport, Gregory Transport, Greenaway and Greenaway, Malcolm Drew Ltd and Thompson Transport.  Stocks  & Sons Haulage Contractors also provided perpetual trophies for the Best Tipper and Best Block Lorry in show in memory of Hondary Stocks.

"The Nantwich Show has been an annual feature of the South Cheshire events calendar since 1897.

From humble beginnings as a very small cheese show in the grounds of St Joseph's School (now the site of Elim Church & Regents Park Business Centre) to the largest one-day agricultural day out in the UK, the Nantwich Show has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors and animals over the years.

We are delighted to welcome the much-loved Heavy Horses back to the show.

Beekeeping is another addition this year.

 Ackworth Events, John holds events on the Water Tower field, mainly historic vehicle shows.

The gates open Saturday 15th July at 10am and the show will go on whatever the weather. Too much hard work goes into preparation from all involved to cancel - not just the organisers either. 

People come from all over the Country to attend and we are very honoured. It is our pleasure to accommodate.

"The Great Eccleston Show is a two day event and is a showcase for every aspect of rural endeavour and the whole range of crafts and skills associated with the country. With cooking, handicraft, horticulture and local arts, this north west agricultural show is a big attraction to townspeople and country folk alike. We have classes for Shire horses, sheep, pigs and poultry, light horses, goats, tractor-pulling and a ‘companion’ dog show. Traditional rural crafts can be seen alongside the latest in agricultural technology.
