24 hour Call-out Technician

Hours of work: 40 hours a week
24 hour callout including weekends when on callout
Salary: Up to £21 per hour | £2000 signing-on bonus after completion of 6-month probation, direct applicants only (Non Agency), paid in 2 installments at 6 months and 1 year.

Reporting to the Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and service routines, repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner. You will also be required to execute emergency service/field repairs if required. You need to be a team player, able to work to deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative.
The successful candidate must have experience working in this sector and a passion for great customer service. Main dealer or fleet experience is advantageous however main dealer training is available to the successful candidate.

This Call-out Technician role is based in our Ashford workshop, SAGA Truck & Van offers huge resources for professional growth. Across electrics, engines, diagnostics, and management, you’ll have access to courses and qualifications.
What we are looking for
- Qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician with a IVR qualification
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Experience of working as a 24hr call-out commercial vehicle technician
- Ideally Level 3 in City & Guilds or IMI Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Qualified, or equivalent experience
- Computer literate: comfortable using smart devices to log and upload documentation
