Job Description
Hours: Monday – Friday 40 hours per week (would consider part time 25/30 hours)
Salary: up to £28,000 DOE (pro-rata if part time)
A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as a Accounts Assistant at our site in Nursling, Southampton. This is a varied role supporting our central Accounts team and our customers.
- Posting and allocation of customer payments.
- Reconciling unallocated payments
- Amending/monitoring credit limits
- Monitor general & personal email boxes and attend to in a timely manner
- Dealing with customer queries via email and phone
- Sending out monthly customer statements
- Sending copy invoices
- Credit control
- Setting up new customer accounts in line with company procedure.
- Other ad hoc duties
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferable
- Familiarity with accounting systems within previous work experience (ideally Autoline)
- Knowledge of Excel and Word
- Effective communicator
- Attention to detail
