We are seeking an Alternative Fuels Product Quality Engineer to join our Commercial Aftersales team and support the performance and reliability of alternative fuel trucks across the UK. In this technical role, you will represent Customer Support within Service Market in relation to alternative fuel-powered trucks. NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalentExtensive experience working in a busy commercial vehicle workshop environmentIMI Level 3 Electromobility qualification would be advantageousIn-depth technical knowledge of truck systems and diagnosticsPresentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesEffective communication skills with the ability to build relationships across dealerships and internal teamsExperience using Microsoft Office platform such as ExcelOrganised, self-disciplined and comfortable managing multiple prioritiesA proactive team player who can also work independentlyHold a LGV Class 2 driving licence (Cat C)What’s in it for you?You will play a key role in supporting the UK dealer network and ensuring alternative fuel trucks deliver the quality and reliability our customers expect. Provide day to day technical support to the dealer network through the technical helpdesk rotaInvestigate and manage product quality concerns relating to alternative fuel trucksLog and monitor Field and Dealer Quality Reports while working with global technical teams to identify solutionsAnalyse warranty data and failure trends to identify recurring issues and support improvementsSupport regional management teams with product quality updates and technical expertise during dealer or customer visits You will work closely with technical specialists, sales teams and dealer partners to ensure vehicles continue to meet the highest standards of reliability and performance. Reporting to the Alternative Fuels Product Quality Manager, you will also collaborate cross-functionally with dealerships across the UK, colleagues at Volvo’s head office in Sweden and internal sales teams to support the continued rollout of alternative fuel technologies.
