We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our friendly team at team at Sittingbounre.
KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To work closely with the Management Accountants to ensure accurate and timely accounts are kept and produced.
This is an opportunity to develop within your career while being part of a supportive team with management accountants on site to support you in your learning and an opportunity to obtain a professional qualification via an external provider.
A background in an accounting support role is essential along with experience with accounting software and be competent in MS Excel. You will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident working to deadlines and targets with high attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues as you will interact with various departments in your role.
To be sucessful in this role you will need to:
- Demonstrated experience in a role involving financial record-keeping, reconciliations, and supporting accounting functions, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software. This includes the ability to navigate and utilise these systems effectively for various accounting tasks, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and credit control management.
- Strong competency in MS Excel, including the use of advanced functions like formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues across various departments.
- A proven track record of maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping, reconciliations, and ledger management.
