Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager.
- Sales Generation: Actively prospect and develop new leads within the commercial van market segment across the UK. Identify and pursue opportunities to increase sales volume and market share.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients across the UK. Understand their business objectives, transportation requirements, and provide personalised solutions.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the commercial van models, features, and specifications. Educate clients on the benefits of our products and services.
- Consultative Selling: Employ a consultative selling approach to understand client needs and recommend appropriate van models, configurations, and financing options.
- Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms of sale, pricing, and contracts with clients. Close sales transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
- Pipeline Management: Manage sales pipeline and effectively prioritise activities to maximise sales opportunities and achieve revenue targets.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments. Utilise market insights to identify new business opportunities and drive sales growth.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sales process. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments and individuals such as a dedicated Fleet Customer Support Executive (CSE), Business and Compliance Administrator and the Sales Admin function to ensure seamless customer experience and satisfaction
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience of selling commercial vehiciles (LCV) to large fleet customers
- Strong knowledge of the commercial vehicle market and fleet management solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of retail standards, best practice and compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Business to Business (B2B) sales
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales management tools.
- Effective communicator, negotiator, and relationship-builder.
