About the role
Due to continued expansion we are looking for a full time driver to work Monday - Friday collecting and delivering new vehicles. Main duties will involve carrying out deliveries and collection of customers’ vehicles as scheduled and completing all relevant digital proof of deliveries and paperwork. Where appropriate demonstrating vehicle functions with the customer, ensuring that the customer is treated in a professional and efficient manner. Also inspections of a vehicle's condition prior to collection with any damage recorded as necessary.A typical day would involve carrying out the days deliveries and then travelling back and loading for the next day. We can be quite flexible with hours so once deliveries and collections are completed you will be able to finish.We currently operate a mixture of 7.2 and 5.2 Iveco Dailys which each tow 3.5 ton trailers. This allows deliveries of multiple vehicles. We also operate a 4x4 and 3.5ton trailer and a 3.5t single car transporter. You will be responsible for checking vehicles and trailers on a daily basis and reporting any faults to the office.Deliveries are typically carried out Monday-Friday but you must have the flexibility to work on very occasional weekends. During the week you may be required to stay overnight in hotels but this is typically limited to a maximum of 2 nights per week. These hotels will be booked and paid for and extra money will be paid for these overnights.Excellent customer service skills are ESSENTIAL.Previous car transport experience would be an advantage.Please be aware this role involves lots of driving and frequent early starts, please do not apply if either of these would be an issue.Applicant must hold:A MINIMUM of a Category C1E licence.This means you can drive C1 category vehicles with a trailer over 750kg. The combined MAM of both cannot exceed 12,000kg.Driver CPC CardDigital Tachograph cardExperience of loading and unloading cars is preferred, experience using smart phones and tablets is essential. Full training will be given to the right applicant.Salary starts at £26,500 depending on qualifications and previous experience.
