Job Title: HGV MechanicLocation: Chadderton, OldhamSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (Based on experience and Tools)Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentHours: 07:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday (Could be modified for the right candidate)About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and motivated HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our dedicated team at Movement Control, a reputable and growing business within the transport/logistics industry that offers competitive salaries, Excellent Facilities and Flexibility.We have a Moderate sized Fleet of 8 x HGVs DAF,SCANIA,VOLVO & IVECO's / 15 x Trailers of Various types /10 x Commercial Vehicles from Small Vans to Luton's FORD, VAUXHALL, CITERON & VW Mostly.Key Responsibilities:Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of HGVs, LGVs and other commercial vehicles to DVSA standardsDiagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faultsCarry out inspections, MOT preparations, and road testsEnsure vehicles are maintained in a roadworthy and legal conditionBooking MOTs at Various MOT Centres across Manchester.Maintain accurate service and repair recordsRespond to breakdowns as required using breakdown vehicle provided.Work collaboratively with workshop staff and managementRequirements:NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (essential)Proven experience as an HGV mechanic or technicianStrong understanding of HGV systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and diagnosticsA valid HGV Class 1 licence is desirable but not essentialExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage own Workflow & Time.Own toolsWhat We Offer:Competitive salary + overtime opportunitiesCompany pension schemeTraining and development supportIndependent workingModern workshop facilitiesPPE and specialist tools provided28 days holiday (including bank holidays)Mandatory Shutdown over ChristmasHow to Apply:If you’re a reliable, motivated, and qualified HGV Mechanic looking for a new challenge, we’d love to hear from you.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per yearExperience: HGV Mechanic: 10 years (preferred)Work Location: In personBenefits:Casual dressCompany pensionOn-site parkingLicence/Certification:NVQ Level 3 (required)Category CE Licence (preferred)
