Job Description

Commercial Vehicle Technician

Applications are invited for the post of Commercial Vehicle Technician (both Truck & Van) for Mertrux Limited. This is a full-time position based at our Leicester branch.
Reporting to the After Sales Manager, your main duties will include the routine service, inspection, and repair of Mercedes Benz Commercial Vehicles. The person we are looking for must have a proven technical knowledge and understanding and ability to repair faults on modern vehicles.

We are looking for a qualified technician who has had previous experience of working in a Commercial Vehicle workshop. You need to be enthusiastic, hardworking, self-motivated and be able to work a rotating weekly shift system. Mertrux invest heavily in their people ensuring that they receive the Mercedes Benz main dealer training and the support they need to grow with the company.

Hours

Week One - 06:00 – 15:30 Monday to Friday Night (30 Minutes Break)
Week Two - 14:00 – 00:00 Monday to Thursday (30 Minutes Break) | 14:30 – 22:00 Friday (30 Minutes Break)
Saturdays Scheduled on a Rota as Required and Paid at Overtime Rate - Minimum of 2 Per Month.

Skills

  • Must be to a City and Guilds, IMI, NVQ3 BTEC or equivalent in Vehicle repair.
  • Having a C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence is beneficial but not essential
  • IRTEC is beneficial.

We offer a competitive starting hourly rate of £17.72 for Maintenance Technicians, rising to £20.88 for Diagnostic Technicians, along with 1.5 x overtime pay, a 15% late shift enhancement, plus pension and life assurance as part of your package.
