Compliance Officer (3 month FTC)Hours: full time Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekHybrid working with 1 day based in our Mercedes Benz Blackburn DealershipSalary: £33,000 per annumBenefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and pension scheme.The roleWe are seeking a Compliance Officer to join Marshall Motor Group working out of our Mercedes Benz dealership in Blackburn. Offered on a full-time, fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave, this role reports to our Compliance Manager.What you’ll doAssisting the Compliance Manager to ensure business is compliant with regulations.Promoting a positive compliance cultureProvide the business with compliance advice and recommendations.Responsible for the organisation of compliance records, ensuring all compliance logs are kept up to date.Assist with the delivery of the Training & Competence Framework and Compliant Management FrameworkCompliance Monitoring activities in accordance with the annual planAssisting business to maintain compliance and adherence to policies and procedures, highlighting risks and areas of improvement to Compliance ManagerAssisting other members of the Compliance DepartmentOther duties commensurate with the positionWho you areKnowledgeKnowledge of FCA regulatory requirements (particularly CONC, PRIN, COCON, SYSC, TC and DISP) pertaining to the sale of consumer finance and/or general insuranceKnowledge of TCF and the Consumer Duty is desirable.A working understanding of the regulatory frameworkRequired skillset for this role.IT literate with the ability to organise and analyse high volumes of data.Very organised with good time management skillsExcellent communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and accurateAbility to produce high quality reports in EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint, and other applications.Ability to conduct root cause analysis, conduct trend analysis and offer solutions to identified problems.Self-motivated, ability to handle and prioritise own workload.Ability to promote a positive compliance culture.Our policy is to employ the best qualified people and provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees including promotion and training and not to discriminate against any person because of gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief, or disability.Benefits:Company pensionFree parkingOn-site parkingWork from homeSchedule:Monday to FridayNo weekendsApplication question(s):Do you have experience working within a FCA regulated business?Are you happy to commute to Blackburn once a week?Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractLicence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)Work Location: Hybrid remote in Blackburn, BB1 3HT Marshall Motor Group is one of the UK’s largest car dealer groups representing 24 of the world’s most popular and celebrated car, van, truck and motorbike manufacturers with 143 stores situated across 34 UK counties.
