Do you have experience of providing a fast and effective service for a variety of customers?

Are you able to work well under pressure, with a keen eye for detail?

We are recruiting for a Service Advisor to join our team in Leicester on a full time permanent basis.

In this role you will:

  • Proactively plan the capacity of the workshop.

  • Canvass for and accept bookings for the workshop in order to fill available capacity.

  • Maintain vehicle history and service records in an accurate, efficient and timely manner in line with customer requirements and operator licence standards.

  • Maintain invoice filing in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.

  • Correctly interpret customer or internal instructions and complete job cards / repair orders etc.

  • Attend any training course as deemed necessary by the Regional Service Manager

  • Provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

  • Undertake such other tasks as may reasonably be required. These may include liasing with customers, working outside normal hours, supervising and instructing trainees, and covering duties within the service administration department, this list is not exhaustive.

  • Monitor all work to ensure that it is completed by the times required and report any likely delays to the customer to seek, records and communicate authority for any extra work required or parts to be ordered or fitted.

  • Ensure that work done, parts & consumables used and tests carried out are accurately recorded on the job card / repair order. To cost the work and raise invoices.

  • Order parts from the Parts Department and to order sub-contract work.

  • Account for all cash, cheques etc received and to ensure that all work done and parts used are charged to appropriate accounts.

  • Provide times, hours sold, statistics and budgetary information.

  • Enhance the image and reputation of the company whilst supporting its commercial interests.

  • Achieve all company & personal KPI’s & maintain focus on all company financial objectives within given responsibilities.

  • Comply with good health and safety practice, all statutory requirements, company policies and standard procedures.

  • Deputise in all areas of the service department as directed by the Regional Service Manager.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Excellent telephone manner

  • Presentable

  • Excellent administration and organisational skills

  • Ability to build rapport with customers

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and multitask

  • Work on own initiative and in a team

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Valid work permit
