Delivery Driver

Thank you for your interest in our delivery/collection driver position.We have an ad-hoc freelance driving position (zero hours) for a delivery/collection driver. The role involves delivering and collecting low-denomination old and scrap foreign coins to and from customers across the UK with a trip to Ireland (Dublin) every eight weeks.You'll be required to go into the customer's premises to collect the old coins and transport them to the van using a pallet truck, boxes or a wire cage. Sometimes, you'll also be required to empty charity collection units of old scrap coins.You'll drive an Iveco daily 7.5-tonne panel van with a tail lift. The vehicle, fitted with a tachograph, requires a minimum C1 driving licence and a current CPC card.The amount of work will vary monthly, but we expect you'll be required for 2 - 3 days each month. This may include overnight stays (B&B or Travel Lodge), as some collections can be as far away as Scotland and Southern Ireland.Experience as a professional driver is essential.This job may be suitable for someone looking for ad-hoc driving work.
