Delivering high-quality double-glazed units in an appropriate and timely manner with an effective customer focused approach.The Role:Working in this key role as one of our dedicated team, you will be responsible for: -Representing our company ensuring the smooth running of a timely and effective delivery service and planning and following the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.To provide excellent customer service by delivering products in a friendly and professional manner.Responsible for safely and efficiently operating a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers.Delivering a number of high-quality double-glazed units at both our customers residential and commercial premises around London, Kent, Sussex and South East areas. Communicating with customers to confirm delivery details and address and any concerns or issues.Responsible for loading and unloading double glazed units for deliveries daily.Being a delivery driver is a physical role and requires the ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.Maintaining a clean and tidy van at all times.Providing a high-quality service tailored to meet each customers individual needs.Establishing, liaising and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and work colleagues.Ensuring all daily duties are carried out in accordance with the companies Health and Safety policies.Assisting in the factory where necessary.Successful applicants MUST be comfortable working with glass.COVID-19 Considerations: Relevant PPE will be provided (i.e., face masks, gloves, sanitizer)Hours:40-45 hours per week (Monday-Friday ONLY, 7:00am – 4:00pm)NO SHIFTS / NO WEEKENDS / NO EVENINGSExperience Required:Minimum of 1 year’s commercial van driving experience within a similar role, essential.Experience of driving Sprinter / Iveco type vans or similar advantageous.Full UK driving license or equivalent, maximum 3 points on license.Essential Skills & Knowledge:First class customer facing / communication skills.Good spoken / written English.Excellent inter-personal skills, ability to liaise with people at all levels.Good organisation and planning skills.Able to meet deadlines and achieve deliverables.Good attention to detail / time management.Ability to navigate geographical areas using sat nav navigation tools.Personal Qualities:Good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role as this role involves some heavy lifting.Self-motivated, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.Ability to work well on own initiative and as part of a multi-skilled team.Reliable, professional and efficient.Friendly, customer orientated.Good Team Player / good sense of humour.Professionally presented.If you feel you have what we are looking for, we’d love to hear from youPlease note due to the volume of applications only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interviewJob Type: Temp to permContract length: 6 monthsPay: £11.00-£13.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 – 45 per weekBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingSchedule:Monday to FridayNo weekendsSupplemental pay types:Performance bonusExperience:Delivery driver experience: 1 year (required)Driving: 1 year (required)Licence/Certification:Driving Licence (required)Work Location: On the roadReference ID: DD-180624 DGU Express Ltd is a rapidly expanding successful organisation, with over 30 year’s expertise dedicated to manufacturing high-quality double-glazed units.
