Depot Manager – ReadingLocation: Reading RG7 4ADJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: In personWork Authorisation: United Kingdom (required)The OpportunityWe are looking for a Depot Manager to lead our Reading depot, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site while delivering excellent customer service, strong financial performance, and an engaged, high-performing team.This is a hands-on leadership role offering constant learning, working within a committed, collaborative, and passionate team. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, time-constrained environment and will be focused on operational excellence, people development, and continuous improvement.The RoleAs Depot Manager, you will have full responsibility for the performance and operation of the depot, including people, processes, health & safety, customer satisfaction, and commercial results.You will work closely with parts, service, and operational teams to ensure efficient workflows, effective stock control, and a consistently high standard of service delivery.The SpecificsKey responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Overall management of the Reading depot’s daily operations• Leading, motivating, and developing depot staffEnsuring excellent customer service across all departmentsOverseeing parts operations, including front and rear counters where requiredControlling stock movements, accuracy, and availabilityEnsuring compliance with health & safety and company policiesManaging depot performance against KPIs and targetsSupporting continuous improvement and operational efficiencyActing as a key point of contact between the depot and senior managementWhat We’re Looking ForWe want to work with the best people, regardless of background or formal qualifications.
