About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Workshop Controller to join a highly successful DAF Dealership based in Bamber Bridge, Preston.This will be an office-based role which will require a high level of organisation. You will be controlling the allocation of work to Technician's to meet the departments efficiency/productivity KPI's whilst also ensuring the timely flow of job cards to administration.Reporting to the Service Manager and liaising with the Workshop Foreman, you will be leading a team of 25 Technicians and 4 Apprentices divided over four shift patterns.This role would suit someone who has had experience of working within a similar role within the Automotive/Truck environment and has good commercial vehicle technical knowledge and IT skills.Duties include:Allocating of work to techniciansMaking sure all work has been carried out correctly, competently and within the expected timescalesCommunicating with Service Reception on vehicle progress to keep customers updatedLiaising with Team members to obtain customer authority for any additional workFinal sign off job cardsUpdating Dealer/Manufacturer systems: Keyloop (Kerridge), DAFCheck, Techshare.Assisting Technician’s with any technical issuesFluid contamination analysis sample controlIn return we offer22 Days holidays (plus Bank Holidays)Company PensionDeath in Service BenefitPlease apply using the link below or email your CV to: jobs@lancashiredaf.co.uk
