Job descriptionWe are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Garden Department Supervisor. We need someone who is self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and able to work within a small team. Good customer service skills are essential. We require a flexible person as often your duties will differ to accommodate our business needs. Excellent time keeping skills are necessary. You will be in a position of trust so references will be requested.A forklift counter balance truck license will be an advantage but it is not essential.This position will be based on site with occasional deliveries of products in our Iveco truck, within a 10 mile radius of Spalding.All applicants must be able to lift long, awkward products such as planks of timber, bags of aggregates etc on a regular basis to meet business needs.If you do not have a clean full driving license then please do not apply.Responsibilities:Oversee the daily running of the Garden Department.Assist our driver to pick and sort orders for daily deliveries.Serve our customers and advise on productsAssist with off loading deliveries of stock using a fork liftMaintain stock levels of productsSupervise and assist any assistants under your supervisionMaintain a clean and tidy work space and department.Prepare your section before the start of each day.Qualifications:Full clean driving licenseForklift licenseGood knowledge of spoken and written EnglishBasic PC and IT skillsJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £10.75 per hourBenefits:Bereavement leaveOn-site parkingSchedule:8 hour shiftWeekend availabilityApplication question(s):Are you able to work on Saturdays?Are you able to work on Sundays?Experience:Customer service: 1 year (preferred)Driving: 1 year (preferred)Language:English (required)Licence/Certification:UK driving license (required)Forklift Licence (preferred)Ability to Commute:Spalding, PE11 2UJ (required)Work Location: In person Andrew & Company Ltd is an independent family run DIY and sawmill.
