General Manager- Mercedes Benz of PrestonHours: full time Monday to Friday, 45 hours per weekSalary: Competitive Basic Salary with a Generous OTE Scheme in placeBenefits: Private Health Care, Company Car, Private Fuel, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance and pension scheme.The roleWe are seeking a General Manager to join our Mercedes Benz division and manage our Preston dealership. This role will see you lead day to day operations across the site including full accountability for dealership financial performance and line management of the dealership leadership teams. Reporting to the Franchise Director this role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, and offers the right candidate a chance to join a successful group with high employee engagement.What you’ll doAs a General Manager, you will have overall accountability for people and financial performance for your Dealership. With support from your Franchise Director and corporate support functions, you will:Lead, manage and motivate a team of automotive professionals, ensuring the dealership is adequately resourcedDrive a high performance culture, ensuring performance is rewarded and underperformance is managedOversee the sales and aftersales divisions, ensuring performance meets or exceeds budgetSet financial and growth objectives for each department, and plan accordingly to ensure profit and product targets are metAccurately finalise dealership reporting, in line with group reporting frameworksDevelop and roll out dealership marketing and publicity strategies to support objectivesSupport the dealerships to consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfactionEnsure dealership activities are conducted in line with Marshall Motor Group, manufacturer and regulatory requirementsWho you areGiven the nature of this role, it is preferred that you have previous experience as a General Manager level or are a current Sales/Aftersales Manager displaying longevity within your current position. Manufacturer experience would be beneficial, but isn’t essential to the success of this role.
