About the role
We are currently operating over 100 Iveco vehicles and more than 300 trailers. Your work will include trunking trailers to our Leicester and Birmingham depots and then delivering to our customers on the way back down. Alternatively, you will deliver to our customers going up the country, drop in to either of our depots and then return to the yard with another loaded trailer. We also deliver locally in Kent and have a big presence at both Sheerness and Purfleet docks.As a 24-hour operation, we offer both day and night shifts with a competitive rate of pay and bonus scheme. Overtime will be paid after 11 hours per shift. Our work is predominantly Monday to Friday however there are other selective shift patterns to suit including weekends and overtime options are available on request.Duties to include:- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle- Maintain accurate records of deliveries- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers as neededExperience:- Valid Class 1 Driving license (preferably 1 years experience)- Clean driving record with no major violations- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps- Excellent time management skills- Strong communication and customer service skillsIf you are a reliable and experienced driver looking for a new opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
