Behind every smooth journey is a skilled team keeping our vehicles in top shape—and now, we’re looking for an experienced HGV/PSV Mechanic to join us.As a key member of our workshop team, you’ll carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles—from Ford, Iveco to Scania and Mercedes Benz. You will help diagnose issues before they become problems and ensure our coaches are road-ready every day.We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV/PSV Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining passenger service vehicles (PSVs) to ensure they operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Your expertise will help keep our fleet in top condition, supporting smooth transportation operations and delivering exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Main Duties Include:37.5 Hours per week plus overtimeWorking week Tuesday - Friday 6am - 3pm. Saturdays 6am - middayDiagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issuesReplacing or fixing faulty parts and componentsCarrying out inspections and preventive maintenanceKeeping accurate records of all work performedMaintaining high safety and performance standards across the fleetQualificationsProven experience as an HGV/PSV mechanic or in a similar heavy vehicle maintenance role.Licence category D, CPC and tachograph card, would be an advantage for road testing vehiclesStrong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, braking systems, and vehicle diagnostics.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting, brake tester etc.Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in vehicle maintenance or engineering.Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions clearly.Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to repairs and maintenance.A commitment to safety standards and attention to detail in all tasks.Join us as an HGV/PSV Mechanic and become part of a passionate team dedicated to keeping our fleet running smoothly!
