We can offer you Competitive salary up to £19 per hour + overtimeEnhanced holiday - 25 days raising to 30 days + bank hols with serviceOvertime @ time and a half Mon to Sat - double time Sunday/Bank Hols!Generous Pension PlanEnhanced paternity/maternity leaveHealth cash plan = access to dental insuranceIgnition, our electric vehicle salary sacrifice schemeEmployee savings and retail discountsCycle to work schemeCareer development opportunities, along with training plans managed through our inhouse Technical training team.Support for you and your family through an online Wellbeing centre What we are looking forNVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar roleGood understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsClass 1 or 2 HGV licence (desirable but not essential)A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail What you will be doingEnsure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsiblyEnsure repairs are carried out in accordance with Volvo Standard Times using Volvo Special Tools where appropriateAssist in the fault diagnosis processComply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repairAssist with Action Service Europe when requiredWork with the Parts Team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fittedRoad test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV licence)Assist with roadside breakdownsEnsure company time recording procedures are complied with, and that job cards are completed accuratelyEnsure service sheets are completed as per Volvo instructionsEnsure all vehicle defects are reported to workshop controllersKeep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintainedWear personal protective equipment when appropriateSupport the development of young trainees and apprentices We value your data privacy and therefore do not accept applications via mail.
