They have been in existence for over 60 years, priding themselves on their inspirational customer service.As a HGV Technician, you will be working primarily on their own fleet of vehicle, on a variety of equipment from cars and light vans to 44 tonne HGV Recovery vehicles and include Renault, Volvo, Iveco, and Mercedes Benz.If you have experience within Commercial Vehicle Repair, HGV Mechanic, Mobile HGV Support, Roadside HGV Assistance, Coaches, Buses, HGV Fleets, or HGV Chassis & Body Repair, please get in touch.What’s in it for you as a HGV Technician?A Competitive Basic Salary – Basic Salary up to £48,000 - £21 p.h.Additional Hours paid at £22p.h.4 days On – 4 days Off - 06:00 to 18:00A supportive Management StructureOn-going company Training SchemeFull Systems & Process TrainingCompany PensionFuture Development Opportunities with Group.Duties of a HGV Technician with our Client:Able to work independently on a variety of maintenance and repairs both planned and unplanned.Prepare vehicles for MOT.Diagnose and repair defective electrical hydraulic and mechanical parts and equipment on commercial vehicles.Servicing vehicles carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.HGV InspectionsPart of the role will require attendance to vehicles breakdowns. An out of hours a service van will be provided.Provide on call telephone assistance when requiredMaintaining repair and service records.What our Client expects of their HGV Technician:It would be advantageous to be familiar with commercial HGV vehicles.A valid HGV class 2 licence would be advantageous but is not essential.Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and procedures.Full UK Driving Licence.Previous working experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician or similar is IdealIdeally Qualified as an HGV TechnicianAble to work as a teamAble to work on own initiative.
