About the role
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join our new depot in DunstableDuties:Responsible for the maintenance and repair of fleet vehiclesCarrying out road testsPerforming emergency road repairsRoutine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standardsDiagnoses of vehicles utilising computer based diagnostic equipmentCarry out scheduled fleet maintenance tasksPreparation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspectionsCarry out re-chassis work and light fabricationCandidates should be able to demonstrate:Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlinesAbility to actively seek solutions to problemsAbility to work as part of a teamGood verbal communication skillsExcellent customer care skillsHigh level of technical knowledge and ability in mechanical repairAwareness and understanding of health and safety requirementsPrevious experience would be requiredIndustry qualifications achieved to a minimum of Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or mechanical engineering (all modules completed) – Heavy Vehicle QualificationPrevious working experience as a HGV technician with a strong technical background, as well as a keen interest in vanJob Type: Full-timeSalary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionSchedule:OvertimeWork Location: In personReference ID: 381 Intercounty Truck & Van Ltd has been operating as a Mercedes-Benz franchise for 20 years covering the five counties of Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire with dedicated commercial vehicle dealerships to support our customer base.
