About the role

Job SummaryWe are currently looking to recruit for our maintenance Hub based in Walton-Le-Dale Preston. The HPH Group has over 65 years’ experience and are one of the UK Leaders in road haulage and would like an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team to service & repair our fleet of HGV's to include Mercedes, Iveco & MAN.The JobService and maintain trucks and trailers to a high standardPrepare vehicles to MOT standard as minimumHave a great attention to detailUnderstanding of complianceFollow workshop proceduresHave a commercial awareness You will be responsible for Service, Maintenance, Repair and general maintenanceOwn toolsIdeally have a class 1 licence to conduct road tests.Responsibilities-Conduct routine maintenance checks on HGVs and trailers.- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults- Perform vehicle inspections and safety checks- Carry out servicing and parts replacement- Keep accurate maintenance records- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulationsRequirements- Proven experience in servicing and repairing HGVs & trailers- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills- Knowledge of vehicle systems and components- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Excellent attention to detail and time management skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: £39,520.00-£44,720.00 per yearLicence/Certification: Driving Licence (required)Work Location: In personBenefits:Free parkingOn-site parkingExperience:Maintenance: 4 years (required)Automotive diagnostics: 4 years (required)Mechanical knowledge: 4 years (required)
