Location: Gilberts Coombe, Redruth, CornwallSalary Details: Up to £42,900 experience and hours dependentJob Date: Full Time, Permanent, Monday - Friday and every other SaturdayJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy goods vehicles, trailers and horseboxes. This role requires proficiency in using various tools and equipment, as well as maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard.Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA standard.Diagnose and rectify all types of faults.Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customers premises.Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises.Liaise with the the various parts departments to obtain relevant parts where needed.Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.Ensure all health and safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.Ensure accurate information is captured on all job cards.R2C service sheets are completed in a timely manner.Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses.Candidate RequirementsProven experience as an HGV Technician.Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlinesAbility to work under pressure and seek solutions to problemsExcellent communication skillsFlexibility to undertake a wide range of tasksAwareness and understanding of health and safety requirementsComputer literateCurrent drivers licenceHGV licence and fork lift licence (desired, not essential)Ability to work as part of a teamExperience on Iveco product (desired, not essential)If you are passionate about vehicle maintenance and have the skills required for this role, we encourage you to apply today!Job Type: Full-timePay: Up to £42,900.00 per yearExperience: Mechanical engineering: 3 years (required)Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required)Work Location: In personBenefits:Free parkingOn-site parkingSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availability
