About the role

HGV Breakdown Technician – South Mimms Shift Pattern: Rotating shift pattern: Week 1: Monday to Friday 06:00–15:00 (On Call), Week 2: Monday to Friday 15:00–23:00 (+ Weekend on call) Salary: Competitive salary, plus additional standby pay Training provided – if you are a qualified technician, we can provide the breakdown training. If you’re experienced in heavy vehicles or you’re a technician from automotive, plant, agricultural, or military engineering looking to step into the HGV world, this is a great opportunity to develop your career with a leading manufacturer. What you’ll be doing:· Responding to roadside breakdowns and carrying out fast, safe, and effective repairs· Diagnosing faults using the latest diagnostic equipment· Completing servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on HGVs· Delivering a high standard of customer service while working independently· Ensuring all work is completed with safety front of mind About you:· Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills· A proactive, safety-focused approach· The ability to work independently and under pressure· Experience as an HGV, LCV, car, plant, agricultural, or military technician Next steps1.
