About the role

Our Reading depot is looking for a HGV Technician to join our team, working alternating early/lates shifts as a Shift Leader. Are You 'Made for DAF'? Excellent! Because we're currently looking for talent. This is what you'll be doing:To act as Quality and Technical Supervisor for Technicians and Apprentices and non-productive workshop service staff, providing control and direction in quality, efficiency and discipline in the use of resources and Health & Safety.To be responsible for communication of Company Policy and development of a culture of ‘Continuous Improvement’.To service and repair HGVs and LCVs in a safe, efficient and economical manner (employing such skills and knowledge as may be required), with due regard to current Legislation and Health and Safety, and be familiar with the relevant Risk Assessments for all tasks carried out.This is what we're looking for:A completed secondary vocational education.A broad vehicle-related technical knowledge, preferably of DAF products.An extensive experience in carrying out repairs and maintenance on trucks, components and associated vehicles.Familiarisation with developments in the automotive industry.You will be required to provide your own tool-kit and be in possession of a valid driving licence (preferably HGV but not essential).IS DAF MADE FOR YOU?This is what we promise you:Individual responsibility and lots of latitude.An excellent salary and employment package.Plenty of chances for further training and development.Start date: ASAP.Are you 'Made for DAF'?
