(direct applicants only) Working a rotating shift pattern - earlies/latesEarlies:Mon to Thurs 0700hrs to 1515hrsFriday 0700hrs to 1530hrsLates:Mon to Thurs 1500hrs to 2330hrsFriday 1500hrs to 2230hrsAs an HGV technician, you will be joining our Service & Workshop team at our Volvo Truck and Bus Centre. Where you will be ensuring repairs are carried out according to Volvos Standards. Here at Volvo Trucks, we believe are at the forefront of Electromobility so you will also be working on a range of systems which include alternative fuels such as LNG, hybrid and Full electric vehicles.Don’t worry if you don’t have experience with these alternative systems. When joining you will be provided with a training path. Starting with an induction at the depot to foundations events which will take you through all systems you will be using. As well as a number of courses both online and in-person to develop your skills and support you in your new role. You should be flexible enough to adapt to new processes and develop new skills when required, and participate in training and development activities. We’ll also expect you to be an active member of our busy team while being competent enough to develop new working processes or to enhance current ones. ResponsibilitiesEnsure repairs are carried out according to the manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsiblyEnsure repairs are carried out in accordance with Volvo Standard Times using Volvo Special Tools where appropriateAssist in the fault diagnosis processComply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repairAssist with Action Service Europe when requiredWork with the Parts Team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fittedRoad test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV licence)Assist with roadside breakdownsEnsure company time recording procedures are complied with, and that job cards are completed accuratelyEnsure service sheets are completed as per Volvo instructionsEnsure all vehicle defects are reported to workshop controllersKeep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintainedSupport the development of young trainees and apprenticeIf you are interested, apply now or recommend a friend that you think would be suitable.All Volvo group adverts are open 10 days minimum after the posting date.We value your data privacy and therefore do not accept applications via mail.
