About the role
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yardman to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the yard's organisation and efficiency, ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are properly managed. This position requires a proactive approach to yard operations, with an emphasis on safety and teamwork.ResponsibilitiesOperate and manoeuvre HGV1 &2 vehicles within the yard safely and efficiently.Assist in making sure vehicles are parked properly on siteEnsure that all equipment is stored correctly and in an orderly fashion.Conduct regular inspections of yard equipment and report any maintenance needs.Collaborate with delivery drivers to facilitate smooth operations during loading and unloading processes.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard area to promote safety and efficiency.Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing duties.QualificationsValid commercial driving licence is required for operating HGV vehicles.Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous.Strong understanding of yard operations and logistics is preferred.Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and drivers effectively.A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and organisation within the yard environment.If you are passionate about contributing to a dynamic team environment and possess the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Yardman.Job Type: Full-timePay: £15.00 per hourExpected hours: 45 per weekWork Location: In personBenefits: Company pensionAbility to commute/relocate: West Drayton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Driving: 4 years (preferred)Driving HGV Vehicles: 3 years (preferred)Licence/Certification:HGV 1 Driving Licence (required)Driver CPC (preferred) AGS is one of the leading providers in the bespoke automotive solutions, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service with the latest technology.
