About the role

Logistics AssistantThis is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work for a leading Roofing Supplies company providing products across the whole of the UK.We are looking for a competent, hard-working and reliable individual to join our high paced, dynamic Logistics Team in St Albans. You will be responsible for managing the shipping of stock and coordinating the delivery of finished goods nationwide, liaising with couriers, customers and internal staff to ensure a seamless logistics service.Roles & ResponsibilitiesDaily Check Reporting & MonitoringDefect Reporting & ActioningTacho Digi Downloading – Vehicle & DriverInfringement Reporting & E FilingHGV & Crafter Vehicle EarningsFully Supporting Logistics Manager in Day-to-Day TasksPlanning & Scheduling Vehicle Pmi’s, Service’s & Mot’sLiaising with Motus, AGS (Mercedes) Iveco, HTC & VWForklift Truck Maintenance & Repair Scheduling, Locators & WindsorLiaising with Forklift Repair ContractorsPlanning & Scheduling Company Car Service, Repairs & MOT’sDaily monitoring of Logistics Board and input of MOT’s, Services & Pmi’s.Transport & Logistics Invoices, Liaising with AccountsBooking & Scheduling Third Party Logistics for all BranchesCan work on Own Initiative when TM (Assistant) on other dutiesStrong Resilient Character to Interview, Brief & Motivate DriversDaily Walk Rounds, Vehicle Checks & MaintenanceRequirements & SkillsTransport Knowledge & Skills Highly RecommendedComputer Literate, Skills in Excel & Word, Emails & ScanningCreating Electronic Vehicle Folders & FilingDriving Licence RequiredPMA !!The package will include 20 days holiday per annum Plus Bank HolidaysThe hours are Monday - Friday, 7.00am-4.30pm (42.5 hrs per Week).Salary: £26,611.00 - 29,000.00 plus bonuses depending on experienceJob Type: PermanentPay: £26,611.00-£29,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionHealth & wellbeing programmeAdditional pay: Quarterly bonusSchedule: Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate: St Albans AL2 1DT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience: Logistics: 1 year (required)Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)Work Location: In person Founded in 1989, JJ Roofing Supplies Limited is now the largest roofing merchant in North London with Nine stores, an e-commerce outlet, an ever-expanding staff which currently stands at 105 .
