Maintenance Operations ManagerDue to a year of substantial growth, we currently have an exciting opening for you to join our highly skilled and collaborative team as a Maintenance Operations Manager in our DAF Fleet Services organisation in Devizes. This role goes beyond day to day maintenance; placing strong emphasis on data analysis, cost optimisation and identifying trends to improve fleet reliability and reduce operational spend.You will play a key role in driving efficiency through insight led decision making while ensuring customer service and maintaining our good supplier relationships. Ideally, you will have the following skills / experience but on-boarding and pragmatic approach to growth provided:Proven experience in fleet maintenance, transport operations or fleet managementStrong commercial awareness with demonstrable experience in cost control and budget managementCustomer first ethos with drive to provide high levels of engagement and team workingRobust analytical skills with experience of interpreting operational and financial dataAbility to identify trends, root causes and implement data driven solutionsEffective leadership and stakeholder management through positive influencingProven track record of managing a teamHave a can do attitude and enjoy troubleshootingExceptional communication skills both written and verballyBe organised, resilient and have the ability to drive a team in the same mannerThe Maintenance Operations Manager role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):Oversee maintenance operations for a fleet of HGVs, LCVs and trailersManage maintenance spend with a strong focus on cost control, forecasting and variance analysisEnsure a customer first approach is at the forefront of all commercial decisionsLead, motivate and develop and high performing team by setting clear goals, fostering accountability and creating a collaborative results driven cultureIdentify failure patterns and implement preventative measures to reduce repeat defects, breakdowns and unnecessary expenditureManage relationships with third party maintenance providers and suppliersLead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction and asset longevityCollaborate and influence other departments to minimise fleet downtimeWorking Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm.As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate and are committed to provide equal opportunities, a fully inclusive work environment and fairness for all.
