With sites across East Anglia, Hertfordshire & Essex, our facilities are staffed by experienced professionals who specialise in providing support to businesses of all shapes and sizes.Not only can we supply new and used trucks and vans, we also offer an array of aftersales services, including overnight vehicle servicing and MOTs, tacho calibration, genuine parts and much more.Do you have. . .At least 5 years practical experience in a service workshop?Senior Technician experience with diagnostic skills and thorough understanding of Mercedes-Benz Vehicles?Experience with volume work?Able to work within a team?If your answers are YES… then you may be the person, we have been looking for!Our Company Benefits:When you join Motus Truck & Van from Day 1 you'll have access to a comprehensive benefits package including:Holiday Allowance of 30 days holiday per year (including Bank Holidays) that will increase with length of serviceAuto-enrolment Pension Scheme with employer contributionMedical insurance discounted schemeCareer developmentReferral bonus if you introduce your friendsDiscounted days out with family and friendsRetail discounts saving £££'s on shopping and dining outSalary FinanceFamily & Friends Discounted Car SchemeOn-site Mental Health First AidersDiscounted Healthcare SchemeX2 basic salary Life AssuranceInternal engagement initiativesUniform providedWhat will you be doing?Responsible for providing technical support to team members as and when required in order to assist in achieving a satisfactory level of first time repairTo ensure that technicians are working at acceptable levels during shifts to achieve optimum use of available man-hoursReporting any lateness/unauthorised absence to the Workshop ManagerTo report any issues which may arise of a disciplinary nature to the Workshop ManagerTo ensure that work is issued and completed to the agreed deadlines reporting any concerns to incoming team leaders prior to handover, and informing the Workshop Manager of any issues arising as appropriateTo carry out random quality checks on team members work reporting accordingly to the Workshop ManagerTo assist the Workshop Manager and General Service Manager with planning relevant training programmes for team members to ensure that development is in line with departmental policyTo ensure that the workshop is kept clean and tidy during shift working hours and to observe the relevant Health & Safety RegulationsTo properly supervise the workshop team and to develop and train subordinates to achieve the highest possible levels of performanceTo monitor workshop loading and ensure continuityTo receive customers and their vehicles, discuss and confirm their requirements and examine the vehicles to determine their conditionTo supervise the flow of work into the workshop, allocating work as required and maximising the use of available resourcesTo ensure that collection and delivery drivers operate to schedule and meet customer and workshop expectationsTo ensure that repair orders are raised and processed according to the established guidelines and that work is completed to scheduleTo ensure that requested work is completed on time and to the expected standardsTo ensure that invoicing is accurate and completed on timeTo ensure that job extensions are properly authorised, processed and that customers are kept fully informed of changes to costs and expected completion times/datesEnsure that proper use is made of technical information and that it is maintained up to dateTo monitor and enforce time control of team membersTo ensure that vehicles are properly handed over to customers, including invoice explanation and advising future requirementsTo participate in follow up proceduresTo supervisor MOT testingHours & Salary:Monday – Friday - 9:00pm until 6:30amSalary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum plus bonus & overtime if required.Who are we looking for?The successful candidate will have:A relevant formal qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) with a proven track record in vehicle repair and servicingThe ability to follow instructions and proceduresA full UK driving licenceCompleted a recognised apprenticeship in the motor trade.At least one years supervisory experience in a service workshop.Good basic administrational knowledge.Should possess good customer relations skill to adapt to customers individual requirements whilst safeguarding the Company's interest.Should possess a calm and even temperament.
