About the role
Operations ManagerDAF Telford8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday i.e. 40 hours per week. 1 hour for lunch (unpaid).A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as a Operations Manager at our DAF Telford site.Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.Key Responsibilities:Manage and coach the team to offer a first-class, flexible service to customers.Work closely with DAF aftersales department, ensuring their procedures are strictly adhered to.Take financial responsibility for profit and loss, and any arising queries.Build relationships with all customers based on trust and integrity.Key account management.Manage team effectively, ensuring the department is always adequately staffed and all issues are dealt with.Identify opportunities to grow business.Set objectives and targets to achieve continual improvement.Manage a team of technicians and Service advisors to deliver a first-class customer experience.Responsible for the Health & Safety and Quality standards at the site.Ideally, we are looking for:Experience with DAF.Be organised, efficient and able to multi-task efficiently.Be flexible, energised and a team player.Previous experience in a similar role.Experience in the operational management of a HGV workshop.Knowledge of methods to monitor and improve workshop efficiency.Demonstrate knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance requirements and standards.In return we’ll offer:30 days holiday including 8 Bank holidaysEmployer pension with Greenhous contributionCompany sick payStaff referral schemeEmployee discounts on a range of products and servicesMental Health first aidersTOTM Campaign (Period Positive Workplace)Free will writing serviceEmployee mortgage advice serviceOn-site parking
