Location: Loughborough, GB, LE11 5HEPosition Type: ProfessionalPaint Spray Technician - Loughborough £17.10 per hourMonday to Thursday 0800hrs to 1630hrsFriday 0800hrs to 1530hrs£1,000 joining bonus (direct applicants only, payable after 6 months service) We are seeking an experienced Commercial Vehicle Paint Technician to join our busy team. The role involves preparing and spraying large commercial vehicles to an exceptional standard. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for producing high-quality paint finishes on a variety of commercial vehicles, ensuring durability and long-lasting results. What you will doAs a Commercial Vehicle Paint Sprayer at Volvo Truck and Bus, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the aesthetic and protective quality of our commercial vehicles. You will be responsible for preparing, priming, and painting vehicles to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality and customer satisfaction that Volvo is known for.Responsibilities:Perform surface preparation, masking, priming, and painting of commercial vehicles.Mix and match paint to ensure colour accuracy and consistency.Inspect and identify defects in painted surfaces, making necessary corrections.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines Who are you?Is this you?You will possess a City & Guilds or equivalentProven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Paint Sprayer or similar role.Have experience within HGV or PSV coach buildingSolid understanding of painting techniques, equipment, and materials.Ability to match colours and achieve desired finishes.Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a workshop environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes What’s in it for you?We can offer you?25 days holiday + bank holidays raising to 30 days with service (+1 day per year)Company pensionovertime @ time and a half Mon to Sat, double time Sun and bank holsHealthcare plan with access to dental insuranceEnhanced paternity/maternity/foster leaveReferral schemes earn yourself £1000!Many discounts for yourself and family/friends on theme days, travel, hotels, gym memberships, plus many more!
