An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a People & Culture Business Partner to join our growing team at Adams Morey, supporting our Southwest division based in Newton Abbot.What We OfferCompetitive salary (£28,000 – £32,000 DOE)Monday to Friday working pattern with a one-hour lunch breakSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunities for professional development and progressionThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR career in a supportive and fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in delivering efficient and effective HR services across the business — from recruitment and onboarding to employee engagement and compliance.Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm i.e. 37.5 hours per week. 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid).Key Responsibilities:Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and managers.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.Support recruitment processes, including preparing offer letters and conducting background checks.Coordinate new starter onboarding — preparing contracts, scheduling inductions, and ensuring all documentation is complete.Support payroll by providing accurate employee data (e.g. absences, bonuses, retention).Assist in monitoring attendance, annual leave, and absence records.Help organise training sessions, workshops, and performance review processes.Maintain HR documents, policies, and procedures in line with company standards.Contribute to HR initiatives such as employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and wellbeing programmes.Handle all HR data with confidentiality and discretion in line with GDPR and company policy.Ideally, we are looking for:We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and people-focused, with a genuine passion for supporting and developing others.Strong organisational and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification.Experience in HR administration or office support.Familiarity with HR systems (e.g. Cascade).Basic understanding of employment law.Driving Licence.In return we’ll offer:30 days holidays including 8 bank holidaysCompany sick pay, that increases with length of service up to 13 weeksCompany pension with the option to salary sacrificeWhere salary sacrifice takes place, 50% NI saving reinvested into your pension potGenuine career development and pathways with DAF AcademyAward winning apprenticeship programApprentice equipment schemeEmployee Assistance programCycle to work schemeMy Staff shop – access to hundreds of discountsQuarterly More Awards recognition schemeFree eye test vouchers for DSE usersOn site parking (Site specific)Free mortgage advice through a trusted partnerQualified mental health first aidersOn-site trainer for HGV and many other courses Adams Morey is a part of the Greenhous Group which holds a position as one of the leading independent commercial enterprises in the UK.
