Job Description
Lancashire DAF is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor to join our highly successful HGV main dealership. This is a key customer facing role where you will work closely within a hardworking front reception team to deliver exceptional service and support the efficient running of the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the telephone
- Understanding customer requirements and booking vehicles in for servicing and repair work
- Planning workshop loading and producing accurate job cards
- Liaising with the Assistant Service Manager to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of work
- Keeping customers informed throughout the repair process and gaining authorisation where required
- Maintaining accurate records across company systems and databases
- Producing invoices and carrying out general administrative duties.
- Ensure all customer order number processes are followed.
The Ideal Candidate will have
- Previous experience in a similar role within a commercial vehicle or automotive dealership
- Strong commercial vehicle knowledge (DAF experience would be a distinct advantage)
- Excellent communication skills with a genuine customer-focused approach
- A self-motivated, reliable attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive, proactive “can-do” mindset
- Confident IT and administrative skills
