About the role
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist stock levels for truck ranges in line with both SAGA and Brand targets, including factory orders and dealer transfers (in and out).Monitor and control all administrative costs and charges, including stocking, delivery, internal, and subcontractor costs.Oversee vehicle control both on-site and at subcontractor locations.Maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting systemsManage the Kerridge system for the sales department, including processing purchase invoices.Ensure thorough vehicle checks on all incoming and outgoing units.Collaborate with Sales team, and finance on invoicing, adoptions, and cash flow management.Uphold Dealer Standards across the administration department.Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff and departments across SAGA, the Brand and external customers.Manage archive records in line with regulations, ensuring secure storage and timely destruction.Ensure all accounting procedures are carried out accurately and within required timescales.Line management of Sales Administrators and Sales DriversTrain sales support staff in Kerridge, AFRL, and daily operational procedures.Set clear performance targets and motivate the sales admin to achieve them.Organise and manage holiday and sickness cover to maintain departmental efficiencyOther duties as and when requiredExperienceThe successful candidate will have:Proven experience in sales administration or stock control, ideally within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.Be an effective communicator with the ability to build strong relationships across departments and with external partners.Experience working for Mercedes-Benz would be an advantageKerridge experienceGood Excel and general IT skillsBe able to delegate and drive the team to achieve excellent results.A positive can-do attitudeThe ability to produce work to a very high standardA team player mentalityHours & Salary:Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week.Salary of £36,000 per annum plus discretionary bonus schemeOur Company Benefits:When you join SAGA Truck & Van from Day 1 you'll have access to a comprehensive benefits package including:24 days holiday per year (plus Bank Holidays)Auto-enrolment Pension Scheme with employer contributionCareer developmentReferral bonus if you introduce your friendsDeath in serviceEmployee Assistance programmeJoining SAGA Truck & Van is an exciting opportunity to join a top-performing commercial vehicle dealer group, which delivers first-class service.Job Type: Full-timePay: £36,000.00 per yearExperience: Sales administration Supervisor: 1 year (preferred)Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In personBenefits:Company pensionEmployee discountOn-site parking SAGA Truck and Van is one of the largest Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealerships in the UK.
